Dark Mode On

The third edition of Dark Mode On, the month that opens the festival: an immersion into the oneiric and the pre-cinema, at the origins of the image and its primordial forms. The audience is introduced to proto-filmic intuitions and the dreams that precede the movie camera. This month's CineLive brings Murnau's Nosferatu (1922) to the screen, the archetype of vampire cinema: a shadow that reaches the screen from Bram Stoker's novel already loaded with meaning.
